This project was to consist of development of approximately 300 acres, to be improved with a 244-room luxury hotel complemented by thirteen canal-front bungalows comprising an additional 36-guestroom keys, for a total hotel program of 280 rooms. As to amenities, Phase One of The Grand Bahama Club offerred members and hotel guests a Jack Nicklaus "Signature" championship golf course, a pampering spa, tennis complex and a first-class 50-slip marina. The centerpiece for club activities was to be the approximate 26,000 sq. ft. clubhouse, a freestanding structure immediately adjacent to the main hotel complex .
